Home Inspection Questions?

Here are answers to a few of the questions we get about home inspections.

Infrared thermography allows the inspector to visually see temperature. With the color screen and screenshot reports, cold and hot spots are easily detectable.

The camera is used to detect moisture that may not be visible to the eye, scan walls for lack of insulation, and scan electrical boxes and panels for dangerous hot spots that could cause a fire.

A moisture meter can detect moisture in several types of materials. A non-invasive meter can detect high moisture levels below ceramic tile. These meters can determine if stains are from past leaking that has been corrected or from current leaks.
